Richmond Park

Stepping into Richmond’s famous Royal park feels like embarking on a rural retreat. By Autumn, its spectacular views and winding woodland trails are made all the more beautiful by the auburn and golden hues of the season. You can cycle the lovely circular route, wander through the ancient trees as the leaves fall, and spot the herds of regal Farrow & Red deer that roam the park.


Terrace Gardens

On the way up Richmond Hill and just steps from the hotel you’ll find the picturesque Terrace Gardens with its sloping lawns, colourful flower beds, and beautiful views down to the riverside. The impossibly cute Hollyhock Café is nestled amongst the trees in the Terrace Gardens and is the perfect spot for a drink and a little rest.

Keep walking to the foot of the Terrace Gardens and you’ll meet the River Thames. Head North and you’ll wander past riverside pubs and cafes until you come to picturesque Richmond Bridge and the town centre. If you head South, you can enjoy a peaceful stroll with the river on one side and lush meadows on the other. You can follow this route down to Ham or cross over to Marble Hill Park. If you’re feeling more adventurous, you can still hire row boats, kayaks, and paddle boards in autumn.

Bushy Park & Hampton Court

Roam from the Water Gardens in the North-East corner down past the Woodland Gardens and the lovely Diana fountain to connected Hampton Court Park in the South.
